House Batteries

In our 2017 Alante 31V will my power system support AGM house batteries and leave OEM chassis battery alone. Thanks for the help. I'm new to this RV life style and love it already.

Are you asking if you can replace the existing batteries with AGM batteries? If so I don't see why not. When you say "and leave the oem chassis battery alone" I think we need a little more information. Do you not want them to be connected or is the house system draining the chassis battery? Bottom line is there a problem or you just want to change to maintenance free batteries?

I read that the engine alternator charges the house batteries once the chassis battery is charged when engine is running. I did not know if the alternator would damage the AGM batteries. And yes, i want to replace the one 12V wet cell house with maintenance free duel 6V AGM's. And the chassis battery is a wet cell.
