Red face Howdy From Sierra Nevada

So, we started with a very packed motorcycle...

Which carried everything you could every need for camping Who needs more than a two-man tent?

Somehow we made it across 27 states, 14 National Parks, and about 14,000 miles. I guess you could say we were pretty hooked on the camping lifestyle.

The following year we decided to splurge, and moved up to a 3 man tent. We were living large.

Well, something must have happened in that little tent because a year later we were now a family of 3.

So we decided to think big, and got a Subaru wagon, roof carrier, and a tow behind trailer.

Along with a 6 person tent

Now we were living really large and I didn't think we could possibly need more. But as the weekends rolled by and I realized I was spending more time setting stuff up and tearing it down than actually enjoying the places we were camping, a decision was reached.

So we purchased this beauty, a 2012 Jayco Jay Flight 19RD with a Nissan Titan.

I'm thinkin' we'll be able to get by with this for quite some time. We're new to the RV thing, but pretty seasoned veterans when it comes to camping. Buying a Jayco was a no-brainer. We talked to so many people and looked at hundreds of rigs over the years and the 19RD was the perfect balance of size, price, and features for us.

I'll probably have a couple hundred questions in the future, but I'll try lurking for a while so as not to upset the veterans here.

My first project is finding a new screen door.... don't ask, I made my first newbie mistake and it looks like it's going to cost me unless someone can enlighten me on finding a replacement. Seems Jayco wants to send the darn thing on a pallet which will cost 3 times more than the door.

Anyhow, glad to be hear and hope to see some of you in the Sierras!

Hello and welcome to world of TT camping and the forum.

We skipped the motorcycle stuff & went from tents to tent trailers to a class-B to a TT. It's all good.

Hello and welcome. Not too many 'veterans' get upset here.

If they do, just wait. It will be nap time soon.

We had a Concourse, then a V-Strom 1000 and now we have a Yamaha FJR1300. The Ultra Classic is a true beauty, enjoy her.

Cheers!
