I like it, I like it a lot!

Talkin' about my 2014 20MRB, of course! Had it a year now and just think it's great. The Murphy bed is the best idea since sliced bread. My buddy's got a 28' Tango and all the handling differences that extra length makes! and other than his bed being "always down" it's almost identical in layout! I'll take my shorty MRB any day. Pullin' it with my 2013 SuperCrew F150 EcoBoost is effortless. Having fun adding all the little mods that retired guys like me can dream up!

All good.

My neighbor has a unit with a Murphy bed and he and his DW love the space without the length.

We love ours, too. It looks small next to the big busses but it works out well for just the 2 of us and the pooches. The Murphy bed is easy to use. We got a couple of footstools that we use with the couch and store under when the bed is down. We also like having the back window and the skylight....lots of natural light.

Catmike, you mention a skylight....our 20MRB doesn't have one. Was it an option? Already installed? You have it installed? It is a little dark inside especially since we have the dark cherrywood.

We have the 23MBH with the similar Murphy bed and layout. We love the floor plan as well! The Murphy bed is genius!! It's solid and comfortable when down but out if the way when you don't need it.

I believe the skylight is standard but there was an option on the order sheet to delete it. I don't know why anyone would. It brings in a lot of light which helps offset all the dark wood and deep tint on the windows.

Thanks VG. We bought ours off the dealers lot, so we didn't have the option of ordering or removing options !

Hi DGRdale

Our 20mrb came with a skylight over the kitchen area. It was a standard item. The light is good except when you want to sleep in!

We just ordered our 2016 23 MRB and it has an option for a skylight cover for those times you don't want that outside light! I agree the Murphy bed is the best idea ever for having lots of room and a comfy couch in a nice short TT.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the info and the points of view! I have thought about the wanted-light v/s unwanted-light issues. I read another very amusing post from a member who solved both issues! He painted over his skylight dome and boxed in the inside cavity with attractive wood trim and hidden LED lights! Now, if he wants more light or less, he ALWAYS has the option! 😎 Ha!
