Jayco Precept (2017) 35S Freeze protection?

Recently bought a 2017 Jayco Precept 35s. My unit has "tank heaters" but I am trying to verify that it has heated water lines. I believe the tank heaters are 120v and the water lines would be 12v if I have them. I have read a lot of the manuals but cannot find a 'definitive ' answer. Any ideas??

Congratulations on the new Jayco Precept and welcome to the forum. Like you, our owners Jayco Melbourne 24L manual says the same thing as yours. We do have tank heaters but cannot determine if we have heaters for the water lines. The owner's manuals of these units are fairly generic.

Good point about the manuals. Your model specific manual isn't very model specific.
To answer your question, have the last 8 numbers of your VIN handy and call Jayco customer service to check your specific build sheet to determine what was installed and what was not.
(800) 517-9137 is the number for Jayco motorized group.
Why do they install tank heaters to protect against freezing while leaving the lines vulnerable? Not sure, but they did with mine too. Their customer service is great though. Provided me with the plumbing schematics for everything above and below floor. Should make it easier to buy the right length of heat tape and insulation when I do this project in January, brrrr.
Good luck[emoji851]

kh7ax, thanks for the info. I will certainly contact them and do likewise. We are currently in Cheyenne, WY heading toward Custer, SD and then to Sundance, WY. The temps are well below freezing at night. Definitely need to add protection to the water lines.

There's also an add on kit for the Truma tankless water heater to keep it from freezing when you're not using it. Info in its manual.
