On our trip out west last year we spent 5 days dry camping at Wilson lake. I believe the wind died down for a few minutes during that time to about 20mph. And that was not exaggerating. One time I opened the door and the wind/door actually pulled me off of the stairs. At times we were afraid that the TT was going to blow over. With that said, is surely a BEAUTIFUL lake. Our last day we moved from a water-front spot to one next to the brick shelter, because of major tornado warnings. We left early the next morning and there were trucks overturned on the sides of the road. A tornado went through the town we stopped in to get groceries. It was an interesting experience. Needless to say on our return trip we scooted right through Kansas. That was the real test for our solar setup, and it passed with flying colors.
