New 5W owners from Ontario, Canada

Hi there,

We are new to fifth wheel and towing.

It all started out a few years ago when he took me camping in a cabin. I checked around, looked at motorhomes, thought it would be cool to downsize and see the country in one of them! Many RV shows and research, we settled on a fifth wheel instead of a motorhome. The lighter the better, so we found our floorplan, got the truck, did not get the unit we wanted (thank you, Canadian dollar!), but found a Jayco, which is what I was looking at at first! I say it's a sign .

Since last week, we are the owners of a 30 foot Eagle HT 265RKS and have to patiently wait 5 months before we pick it up.

We will likely be asking a lot of questions

Congratulations and welcome to JOF. Researching the way you did will save you a load of money in the long run. Many, like me have to buy each one and find out the hard way.

Get some pictures and a floor plan, talk and converse with others here who have similar rigs and you will be an expert by the time it comes. You will likely be ready to go come the big thaw.

First thing I would do is learn about hitches and brake controllers and work towards having that settled before the 5th wheel is here. So much to learn.
