Well, new to the site and to camping. We had a Flagstaff 720 for a couple weeks, and we were not happy with the. quality we just ordered a Jayco 1006 just hoping I shouldn't have went with the 1206. it is me and my wife and two small children. really looking forward to a good season. the main reason for the 1006 was our to vehicle we have a 2012 Jeep Liberty

Do you guys think a1206 would be safe belibertyhind the short wheelbase

Welcome to JOF

More importantly, I would confirm that your Jeep Liberty's specified weight limits will accommodate the potential "loaded" weights of the Jayco 1006, and/or the 1206 model. Please note that RV manufactures published UVW and Dry weights don't represent "going camping" weights.

As far as wheelbase, yes, in many cases longer TV wheelbases will enhance some TV handling/ride characteristics,... but you should be fine towing within the Jeep Liberty's and a PUP's specified weight limits.

If you would like to discuss in more detail your Jeep's specified weight limits and how they may associate to a particular PUP, feel free to start another thread over in the "Towing and Tow Vehicle" sub-forum.
