New Eagle 266RKS!

A big hello to every one from the Beautiful Mountains of Southwest VA. My wife and I just purchased a new 2014 Jayco Eagle 266 RKS. We were going to order a new 2015 when we found out they are not making this floorplan for 2015. This is the trailer that we wanted so I contacted Jayco and they gave me a list of Dealers that had one of these trailers in stock. I was able to make a deal on one that was set up the way we wanted for the most part. The only thing that the Dealer had to change was the AC. I like the low-profile Coleman Mach 8. We replaced the standard white Mach with a black Mach 8 15k. The trailer had all the other options including solid surface counter tops, keyless entry, electric stabilizers, electric tongue jack, sliding rear cargo tray, customer value package, brownstone interior with leather sofa, headboard, dinette accents. I also had the Dealer install two group 27 deep cycle batteries and a matching slide-topper. This trailer has been kept inside and is supposed to be factory fresh. They are also detailing the trailer from top to bottom including the two-step roof treatment. The only bad thing is that I have to drive 350 miles to pick it up. We are supposed to pick it up next Friday morning. The Dealer is sending me some photos next week when they get the changes and detail completed. This is not my first Rodeo so I am trying to cover all my bases. I have owned many RVs over the years and this will be my second Jayco. I will be updating you with photos once we receive the unit.

Congratulations! on the new Eagle, and welcome to The Forum! I have the same trailer (2013, without the SS Countertops) and I absolutely love it! It is soooooo roomy and open feeling, has great storage space, and tremendous water tank capacities. I'll also be adding a second battery - sooner or later. I've only had it out once, so far, but everything worked perfectly. Hope you'll be as happy with yours as I am with mine.

Post some pics as soon as you get it, and also let us know what you'll be towing it with.

Thank You Everyone for the warm welcome! When I was listing the options on my trailer I forgot to mention that it also has the premier package and the technology package. It basically has every option plus the ones the dealer added, two group 27 batteries, Mach 8 15K AC and slide-out awning. All I will be adding for now is a 24" HDTV in the bedroom, stove cover and battery box locks. My tow vehicle is a 2012 GMC Sierra Denali Crew Cab AWD with the 6.2L V-8. It is white diamond with a Gaylords fiberglass cap. I have added a Volant cold air intake, Taylor Cable throttle body spacer and a Borla cat-back dual exhaust system.
According to the specs I should be at 450 HP and 500 ft.lbs of torque. It is pretty sweet! Should walk-on with this Eagle. Will be using a Equalizer 4-point 12K hitch. I would like to thank all the Veterans for your service on this Memorial Day weekend!
