New EagleHTX 26BHX owners!

We were looking to buy a Winnebego TT when we walked into the Eagle HT 5th Wheel. We never looked back. We landed a great deal in Bozeman MT and are now the owners of a 2019 Eagle HTX 26BHX bunkhouse. We completed our shakedown cruise this weekend and other some loose nuts and bolts everything is going good. The big test is this weekend when we head out for 3 nights to Mormon Lake AZ.
We are 100% new to this so looking for support from this forum. First question is: Is there a Facebook page for this forum?

What is the HTX line vs the HT line. I couldn't figure it out. Just marketing stuff? Cooler name?

The HTX line is the 2019 trimmed down version of the HT line. It is pretty much the 26.5BH but without any of the upgraded options offered to keep the cost down. We went with a 2019 HTX (16" wheels, 50amp service) in favor of the 2018 HT that had pretty much every option. The décor is updated in 2019 and we liked it enough to go without all the options. The only thing I'm really missing is not having Sanicon.

Sounds like a great trailer. I didn't even know what a sanicon was until recently. Post up some pics when time allows. I'd like to see the new interior. Enjoy.

Expensive Light Fixture

Well, I went to the local Jayco dealer to purchase a replacement interior LED light fixture for our 24FBS and walked out with a new Jayco 26BHX Fifth Wheel....ouch! Honestly I have been wanting to upgrade for awhile now, I just had to convince the other half. So we pick it up in a couple of weeks. Have to get a slider hitch installed. Any other Fifth Wheel owners have any advice? It’ll be a new towing experience.

Welcome 26BTX

First thing I would suggest is skipping the slider and going with an Anderson Ultimate and B&W turnover ball. We have had a great experience with our 26BHX and the only complaint is lack of storage. Tows like it’s not even there with my Cummins 2500.

Congrats on the trailer. I’d skip the slider as well. The Anderson is a good recommendation. I used a B&W fixed hitch with my 26.5BHS and Chevy 2500. Worked great. The Andersen would be my next choice.

You’ll get creative on the storage. We did, and never left anything behind due to storage. Enjoy.

I'm totally new to pulling a 5th wheel, just traded in my Clipper 17BHS for the Jayco Eagle HT 26BHX and pick it up on Monday. Can you give me more details on the rig setup? I have a RAM 2500 Diesel with a gooseneck hitch and it was recommended I get that Reese slider, by the dealership. But it sounds like I might be being misled?

Thank you in advanced.

Thank you, after a year in our Jayco Eagle we absolutely love it. Had to get our cap repainted due to fading but they handled that under warranty without any fight over it, so we were real happy about that.
