Hello,

My wife and I are new owners of a 2018 Jay Flight SLX 287BHS and are anxious for the nighttime temperatures to level out above freezing so that we can begin to enjoy the camping season in and around Michigan and not winterize upon our return. Our first shakedown will be this coming weekend closer to home so we can settle in.

We've graduated up from a Viking pop-up and are really looking forward to enjoying the creature comforts of a travel trailer.

I've spent a couple of weeks passively observing threads on the forum and am impressed with the insights and interaction between members ... lots of advice and great ideas live here.

Nice looking rig!
Welcome to the zoo from MO
We are also looking for nice weather. We canceled out shakedown trip for this weekend due to the death of my wife’s mother on Thursday but have plenty more planned. Hope yours goes well

Welcome! 70 here yesterday and a little wind, today 28 and snow and fog. We were supposed to take our coach in for the backup camera, but have snow forecast for Tuesday, so canceled until warmer weather. Dealer is about 2 1/2 hours away, and don't want to be on the roads the way some drive when it snows,

Thanks for the welcome. It looks like after our return there will be a couple of days where it will hover at or just above freezing. I am sanitizing the system and dewinterizing for the weekend trip.

I will however be winterizing upon my return. Does anyone have a estimated quantity of RV antifreeze I'll need? Three gallons? ...four?

Thanks. We're looking to "explore" the west side of the state. Being in Muskegon, what would you recommend? We have an interest in state parks and sites with full hook-ups.
