Hi All,
I've had my Jayco since 2007 and I have only now found this forum. I mostly frequent RV.net or iRV2. I have made a few mods to my camper such as adding shocks, replaced the plastic commode with a porcelain one, added a dedicated Sat dish input cable, and replaced the valence under the sofa with an oak fascia. We camp with our cat so she has her own secluded litter box area located so I have outside access for cleaning. Due to a failed valve stem last season I lost a tire at 60 mph but no further damage was done, luckily. Replaced tires and rims with new load range E Maxxis and HT aluminum trailer rims. My current project is replacing all of the interior lighting with warm white 36 LED panels. I never had any issues with the incandescent lights but just felt like doing the project. Also replaced the stock pin box with a 5th Airborne which really helped with chucking.
My next project is to replace the black water holding tank. (My search turned up this forum) I fixed a huge crack in the bottom last year with ABS glue and fiberglass cloth but on our last trip out I allowed the tank to over fill and it cracked on the top.
That's i tfor now. We really like our Jayco and hope to keep it for some time to come.

Thanks Crabman,
I look forward to "hanging out" here and will post some pics. Hopefully my SIG PIC will work for a start.

Welcome Steve, i would like a picture of the rims you went with. I plan on upgrading mine when its time to change the tires and there are so many different rims looking at a catalog they all look the same. Lol
Seeing them on a camper would help.
Thanks and Happy Camping
Robert

I will get a pic after work (if it stops raining) and post it here. I can't believe I did not have one on my phone.

Hi Robert,
Here is a close up of the rims I went with. They are 15x6 trailer rims with steel reinforced lug area. They are rated to 85 psi for load range E tires. I used Maxxis 225-75-15 E. They are still dirty from the PA trip.

Steve thanks that looks good. I like them. Do you remember what brand of rim they are? How are you liking the maxxis tires so far?

These are Hi Spec Series 04 (AW1507). I opted for the open ended SS center cap and steel valve stems which they installed prior to shipping. Purchased from http://www.trailertiresandwheels.com. The lug nuts and lock lug nuts are McGards that I removed from my '96 Ram before I sold it. Had to get 4 more from Summit Racing to complete the set. I like the Maxxis tires. The previous set was wearing well and had lots of life left but the failed rubber valve stem begged to differ. The black smudges on the valence were the only damage from the flapping tire. I got lucky.

Forgot to mention I got the Maxxix tires from DiscountTireDirect.com. I need to put in a plug for them because I initially ordered the wrong size tires (205 instead of 225) and they sent out the replacements immediately with return UPS labels. They refunded my PayPal as soon as the first set arrived at their warehouse.
