New from West Texas

We just bought our Jayco Grayhawk 29 MV in early July.
We live in Odessa Tx and moved here from California end of 2017 as part of a corporate move for work.
Getting ready for our second outing with it to the mountains near Ruidoso NM over Labor Day weekend.
We love it so far even with a few small issues that need to be fixed.
We plan to tow our 2004 Jeep Wrangler behind it as our toad for the present time.
We will need to start our own separate Facebook page for our adventures.

What are your short getaway weekend places?
We have been to Fredericksburg once, and now headed to Ruidoso for the long weekend.

Are you also a member of FMCA or Good Sam Club?
We joined both to see what one we like and will keep one of them next year.

Todd

This is on our way to Ruidoso New Mexico for Labor Day weekend.
We then headed up to Santa Fe for two days.
We made a run to Amarillo before heading home.
We locked our selves out once, and found a flat rear outside dual prior to leaving Ruidoso. It took 4 hours to get road service to come fix the tire.

Greetings from Dallas. We also had quite an adventure on Labor Day weekend. We headed to Plains, Texas up in the panhandle to go to the Yoakum County Watermelon Roundup but in route had a blow out on the inside rear passenger side tire. Luckily, the exit to Eastland was less that 1/4 mile away so we found a tire shop immediately. After spending the weekend with family in Plains, we too make our way to Santa Fe for two days. We stayed at the Santa Fe Skies RV park which I highly recommend for future stays. The KOA in Amarillo on the way home was also good. We may have crossed paths. Welcome to the forum.

Howdy, from BSA Hospital in Amarillo. Been here 'camped out' in my wife's hospital room since the day after Labor Day. I will be moving to Fort Amarillo tomorrow after I retrieve the dog, TT and TV. I will be going home and bringing the rig over here until DW gets release from the hospital. She had appendectomy Friday night after no improvement due to rupture. Possibly be going home this next Friday, but all dependent on her, the Dr. and such. Again, Howdy from Amarillo, home you have many happy trails in your new MH. I would recommend Las Cruces KOA just off I-10, or Carlsbad KOA, both are pretty darn good, for short trips from the Permian Basin.
