New fulltimers

After years of research, planning and waiting, my wife and I are on our maiden voyage! We took delivery of a 2015 Jayco Pinnacle 36FBTS last Monday, April 6 in El Paso, Tx. After 2 nights in a KOA behind the Camping World, spent learning ins and outs of the rig, we embarked across Texas enroute to Orange Beach, Al. So far we love it. We are former horse people and have owned trailers but even w LQ there is no comparison. A few probs have confronted us: still trying to overcome the hi tech of the 6 jack stand system, the faucet in the kitchen sink being the worst. On the first day of travel we arrived to find a living room soaked with water; rug, wood floor, kitchen chair. The faucet had somehow opened filling the sink, with the stopper in it. The water then sloshed everywhere. The tech who gave us the orientation recommended we keep 1/3 tank of fresh water for travel, well we did and it was everywhere. Still trying to understand the tv, cable vs antenna, finding the damn power switch etc. All in all we r lovin it, we arrive in Orange Beach Sat, lookin to stay put for awhile. We're still drying out, fans blowing hard on carpet. See some of you on the road!

And I believe if u make sure the fresh water tank pump is off, there will be no chance of water coming out your faucets by accident on the road.

Congratulations on the new rig and welcome to the world of "Full-timing"! Sorry you had the kitchen faucet incident! Bet you learned to turn your pump off when you leave. Hope there was no permanent damage, and all is well know. Good luck on your "Great Adventure"!
