Smile New guy

Just ordered a 2016 Pinnacle 36FBTS. Big step up from my 29 ft TT. Towed a big 30 boat on a triaxle that was 10 wide but this is my first fifth wheel. Have to look for a big lot to practice in. Look forward to any advise on towing or system operations.

Practice, practice, practice. 5ers react differently to the TV than TT's. We tow TT, but had the opportunity to back a fifth into a camp site and/or driveway three times. Big difference. And welcome to the forum!

What are you going to tow it with? You're gonna love the storage!

Congrats on the purchase of your Pinnacle! We just returned last week from our "Maiden Voyage" in our 2016 Pinnacle 36FBTS. Having been used to a Class A I will have to say that my husband did a great job pulling the fifth wheel. Although as you said it is going to take some practice with him to get used to backing it and hooking and unhooking it. I feel very confident that I am going to like it better than the Class A. It just feels more inviting and homey inside. Like you, we will be searching the forum for advice since we ae newbies to the "fifth wheel group".

as for our walk thru---it could have been a little more informative but I'm not complaining. Of course there are lots of things that you will already know since this is not your first unit.

We did have a problem with the automatic levelers being out of calibration. Thankfully we found out about it when we brought it home from the dealership and had to return it the next day to be re-calibrated. Just a suggestion--you may want to be sure when you pick your unit up that the levelers are working properly. The reason for making this suggestion is we by "wild" chance saw another couple at the campground we were at on their 'Maiden Voyage" also. They purchased theirs the same day as me and my husband did (and from the same dealership). They also were having problems with the levelers being out of calibration.

When will you be getting yours? Keep in touch and maybe we can be of help to each other with questions that will arise!

As of yesterday dealer does not have a build date. There is a bunch of info about the 3.0 level system on this unit. It seems those having no problems extend all the jack drop downs as Close to the ground as possible than do the auto level. I have also seen where someone commented they heard there was a software change and Jayco was using a heavier gauge wire on new builds
