New guy from CT

Good morning guys and gals, i'm just here to introduce myself as a new member here. i currently have a 2018 slx 267bhs on order and should be taking delivery in a couple weeks and even though its too cold to take it out, i'm extremely antsy to get my hands on it. So a little about me, i've been out camping ever since i was little, according to my parents my first trip i spent in a laundry basket at about four weeks old. we had a popup for most of the time until we inherited a motorhome, that lasted several years till time got the best of the old 1986 winnebago, which had been in rough shape when we got it. now as an adult, well sort of, im 24 i went out and me and the misses got another popup to take out, long story short she fell in love with camping but hated the popup, mainly the extra setup and the fact that its not self contained, so after a whole bunch of tire kicking and online research we decided on the slx series and our local dealer hooked us up with a pretty good deal on it as well. I will be towing it with my 07 F150 with an eaz lift trekker hitch and tekonsha primus brake controller. I've spent a ton of miles towing already but this trailer is much bigger than anything else so im sure it will be a learning curve, I hope to see some of you out on the road, and at the campsite, thanks for having me

I think your biggest challenges are getting out of Middlefield
We are in Maine now but overnight in Madison sometimes.
Not now. parking is prohibited on street till April. We can't get the TT up the Madison driveway
We still tie by Lyman Orchards a couple of times a year
I 84has at least one trailer Centric LEO west of the 691 merge. Stay right

I appreciate the heads up, I live at the lake. Not far at all from Lyman's. we usually go north Or east. I try to avoid I84 west of Hartford like the plague however having a travel trailer instead of a pop up now im sure we will venture out much further and I will keep that in mind

Reviving this 3 year old thread but saw it as I was searching the WDH I was getting from my dealer and stumbled upon this thread. I'm from central CT (middletown area) also and just bought a SLX 8 264BH, picking up next Friday!
