New Guy from Ohio
Hello everybody,
We, like huge amount of people, just purchased our first travel trailer. Its a 2016 White Hawk 24RDB. The reasoning may be the same or different as the other throngs of newbies.
My girlfriend and I were on track to buy our first house together this year until 'Rona showed its ugly face. We were working with a lender who did nothing but drag his feet for a month. On top of that, my best friend was a couple months ahead of us in the purchase process and I watched him go through hell during it.
After talking about it, we decided to go look at campers. We talked all last year about camping but never did.
After weighing the pros and cons of each, we renewed our apartment lease and bought the camper.
My tow rig leaves a little something to be desired, but it’s been a faithful companion for almost 7 years.
Here's to good times!

Welcome to the Forum, both of you!
You kinda did buy a house together. It's just a small house that has wheels on it. Lol!
And your tow vehicle,... my daughter is very envious. She wants one very bad but doesn't even have her drivers license yet.

Oh, the P38 Range Rover...people either love them or love to hate them.
I'm new to campers, but certainly not new to turning a wrench, especially thanks to the Rover. I actually work for a semi trailer repair shop; I was a mechanic for a year, but now I'm in parts and inventory, among other things. One title, many hats. Hopefully this will prove helpful for the duration of my camper experience.
My Rover is a 1995, the first model year they were imported to the US. I bought it from a good friend of mine in 2013, he owned it for, 12 years before that. It was a drain on his wallet for sure; he fixed most evening that went wrong, and then sold it to me. 🤣
