New Here - Researching for Now

Hi everyone,

I just joined and am a prospective Jayco owner. I've got my eyes set on either a 154BH or 174BH model, planning to purchase in a year or so. My travel partner is my (currently) 5yo. We live in San Francisco, so storage away from our home will have to be considered as well. I'll eventually be posting in different forums with plenty of questions as I narrow down my choices for a tow vehicle and more. Happy to be here!

Welcome! We researched for a year before purchasing our first RV. See as many as you can, visit some dealers in your area and go to RV shows near you. There are nearly always going to be pros and cons with a choice but find the unit that has the most must have pros. Then researched the tow vehicle that can pull it comfortably.

We are on our 6th camper and each time we did research on line and visited multiple dealers and a couple of sales.

After a lot of looking around we decided on the 195RB which fits the bill. After 2 years we both wish we could have a bunkhouse for grandkids but that would have involved a bigger tow vehicle and more money.

Some things to think about, storage off season, storage for your stuff, cooking and sleeping arrangements, how big a tow vehicle to buy. Price for both.

You might consider buying a recent used model in both the tow vehicle and RV.

Lots of help here, ask about any model of tow vehicle combo and I bet more than one will respond!

Good luck and see at the campground!
