Smile New Jay Flight 23MB

Hello All,

We're new members here and soon to be new owners of a 2015 Jay Flight 23MB! Woo Hoo! The order was just placed yesterday with a dealer. We can hardly wait to start RVing once again. It's been 11 years since we sold the last one (a Class A). It's kind of weird and I didn't realize it until today, but we placed the order for the JF on the same day that we sold the Class A way back when. I'm thinking of that as a good omen because we had many great trips in our previous RV's.
I really enjoy reading the forums with all the wealth of information that is found here and I find that I am still learning so much even though I've been RVing most of my life. I look forward to reading and learning even more from these forums in the future.
Cheers!

Welcome. Let us know how that Murphy bed works out. I've always thought that was a great idea, with the space being useable as a couch during the day, and a bed at night.

Thanks all for the warm welcome!
dewey02, I'll definitely post my findings on the Murphy bed after we do a shakedown trip here in Palm Springs. We've already started to price mattress toppers. From what I've read in these forums, we'll almost certainly need to at least purchase one of those for added comfort and support.

Welcome, Desert RVers. Glad to have you aboard, and yes, a mattress topper is a must.
Happy RVing.

So many nice folks on this forum! Thanks to all for the warm welcomes.
WildlifeTag, congrats to you on your 23mb!
We're so ready for ours to arrive and it's only been 2 weeks since we ordered it. Already planning and plotting our travels this summer. Such fun!

We have the Whitehawk 23 MBH, the Murphy bed design works great for us, bed is easy to fold up with all your bedding, gives you a lot of room in a smaller trailer.

We also have the Murphy bed in the whitehawk. We do not need a mattress topper but we may have a different bed style

jamaddox thanks for the heads up. We'll wait until sleeping on ours before we decide about the mattress topper. We might opt to save the money and not use one like you have done.
Hchunter, that's exactly what we liked so much about the murphy bed models. All that room with out the length, or in our case without a slide, saving on weight as well. With our TV weight limitations, I was really glad to stay below 5k lbs dry.
Thanks Doodlebug!

Congrats on the purchase! We brought ours home yesterday and love it.

Upgraded mattress in the 23MB Elite is pretty nice for a trailer, but better for us with a topper
