New Jayco on order!

We have ordered a new Jayco Eagle HT 24RE! But they are 4-6 months out so we will have to wait a while. We are excited for our first RV!

1. What options did you order?
2. What % off MSRP do you think is workable with the dealer
3. I am in Long Island; What dealer did you buy from
4. Any tips you may provide as I am ready to order this month (price shopping now)

Hi Joseph,

1) King bed, 12V Refrigerator, Booth dinette, electric fireplace, theatre seating and rear and side observation cameras.
2) At the time MSRP was $56,116 and we got about 22% off.
3) We are in NH. We're buying from Haylett in Michigan. I like that they are only an hour from the factory, which doesn't give the delivery drivers time to beat the thing up before we even see it. And they seem to be a very reputable dealer.
4) MSRP on everything has gone up a lot. A 24RE ordered now is MSRP $61,780 with the same options. Haylett has price protection so our cost won't go up with the cost of new units vs. when we ordered in March. By the time we get it the rig will be a 2022 model and there are more price increases with the model year change I'm sure. I'd call Haylett and see what they can do for you. But who knows when delivery will be. We were looking at August and now probably October or later.

Congratulations and welcome from Northern Ontario. I follow "Josh the RV Nerd" on Youtube. Everything I've heard is good about Haylett.

Got a call from Haylett this morning... our 24RE will not be built until at least February or March of 2022.

Haylett has been building their reputation for a while now. I've popped in a couple of times and always a good experience. They're just 1/2 hour down the road from us, too. They couldn't beat a price I was working on and they were still super nice. They would have a future customer from me if the price is right.

Congrats. I wasn't familiar with the model so I looked it up on RV Trader and there were quite a few in dealers inventory.

Welcome to the forum. We also ordered a new 5th wheel, 10 weeks ago, and live in southern NH. Now that we're retired, we plan to head south during the winter months... starting this winter. \o/

Will you be travelling too or doing weekender's locally?

I will be retiring soon and we will head away from old man winter.

We have cancelled our order for the 24RE as we are not waiting until next year to begin our new journey. So everyone behind us moves up one. We found a very nice used trailer to move forward with. Unfortunately it's not a Jayco so I won't be hanging here anymore.

Good luck to all and Happy Camping!
Gardner and Sue.

Congratulations on retirement! \o/ I'll keep my eyes peeled for your Denali and 321RSTS. Nice rig! I've been in one at the former Jayco dealer near us. But we didn't want to go that big.

Happy Trails!
