New Jayco owner

Hello, wife and I went all in on a new Jayco 387RDFS. It’s going to be a handful at 43 ft long. We been RV’n over 30 years, pulled everything from pop ups to fivers this being the biggest so far. Pulling with a bone stock 2009 Chevrolet 3500 HD SRW / Duramax-Alison combo.

My parents swore by Jayco for many years so I hope this will be a good unit for us.

Regards and Happy New Year,

Don & Cindy

Yes, WELCOME to the forum and congrats on the new trailer! VERY nice!!
We have a 17 375BHFS that's extremely close to what you got. About 500# lighter dry weight and just a smidge lighter on the pin weight.
Just asking here, but do you have enough truck to pull it? I mean capacity. Just thinking out loud here but I pull mine with a 15 Silverado 3500 DRW Duramax and seeing that your truck is 6 year older,... I dont know what the towing capacity of trucks were in 09.

It is rated to handle a 5fth wheel/goose neck 16700. New RV GVWR is 16500 so we are close. Thanks for the concern.

No worries. I was throwing you a bone in case you needed to convince your DW that you needed a new truck to match that sweet new trailer! Lol!
Happy New Year and enjoy!!!
