New Jayco owner from Northern Michigan!

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are now part of the Jayco family, as we just bought a used 2003 23 ft Jayco Kiwi Hybrid. We won't be picking it up until Wednesday, so we can't wait to do so. It is in really good shape, except there is a little soft spot in front of the door we have to do something about. He was a larger fellow and would brace up the step when he used it. When we walk on the spot, that area sags along with the step. I am thinking it could be some sort of water damage, although I don't think he really used the sink or shower. My wife things maybe over time him up and down the step might have pulled some of the floor underneath down. I am not sure, hopefully she is right, but regardless we need to do something about it. But basically, that is the only "issue". It is really nice inside, and out, and can't wait to use it for our first camping trip with it in a couple weeks!

If you are reading this and have any suggestions about our floor, feel free to drop me a line. Thanks, everyone!

Derek

Welcome to the JOF and congrats on your "new" TT! I'd say do a thorough inspection of the problem area and take some pictures. Certainly someone here will be able to help you out. Again, welcome. We're glad you joined us!

Welcome to The Forum and to the Jayco family! I, too, am from Michigan - southwest part near Grand Rapids. So much beautiful country up your way. I'm sure you'll be enjoying it soon in your "new-to-you" Jayco. Happy camping!

Hi and welcome! I love Michigan, used to live in traverse city years ago. I am coming up next month to visit old friends and show my kids sleeping bear dunes and Mackinaw island. We are tent camping, don't want to drive my older truck and trailer that far.
