New Jayco owners, new to forum
We are about to pick up - Saturday, weather permitting - a 2022 Jayco 212QB. We are moving on from a 2021 Keystone 220RD. Quick huh? Warranty issues left a bad taste. Ask the service department which mfg they seemed to have less issues with and better warranty response and 3 voices said "Jayco" - so we'll find out. The build quality of the trailer seems to be better at any rate. The 212 is a little shorter and a little lighter - not that a 2022 F-350 DRW 7.3L gas cares much about these bitty trailers LOL. Little things help like the water pump, water heater and such being accessible under the "couch",a bit more room for 6' big guy to sit in the Reading Room, covered underbelly, 15K BTU AC, better roof attachment (from the looks of it), solar prep which includes connectors on the roof (not just terminals under the trainer on the frame) for a panel and a place for the charge controller inside. Can work with the odd TV placement in the back and just have to deal with not having space for setting a full case of wine in the pantry. Fridge is 12V, 8cu/ft so that's about 2 cu/ft smaller but still plenty good. Gray/black tanks are a little bigger, fresh is only 10 gallons less on the QB. Our consensus was that if this trailer had been on the lot when we were hunting the 220RD, we'd have bought it.
We're new to Jayco, just not new to pulling. Been pulling a trailer you could live in to races since around 2012 or so. That was a 24' box with a found/used 13.5K AC unit, some self installed insulation and a "shower" that was a water bag and a plastic tub. This fresh/gray/black tank business is high class livin'.

Welcome from Maine.. The unit will tow nicely on ice..
Done that many many times and on hills.
That said you might consider traction aids for your feet. We don't stay upright as easily.

Falcon67,
Welcome to JOF
To minimize the potential new TT "bugs", the following JOF PDI check list may come in handy:
RV PDI: htthttps://www.jaycoowners.com/forum...094-5.htmlp://
Consider requesting the RV Dealership that your PDI take place "indoors"...., thus inclement weather won't influence a rushed inspection.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll look for the notes on the 212QBs. Scheduled to drop off the 220RD and pick up the 212 Saturday morning.

I think we can check everything but water since it's been below freezing for a while here. The dealer we use apparently pumps RV antifreeze into the lines, vs my procedure of using 30 psi air to evac all the plumbing for winter.

We like our 212 QB very much
We just towed 800 miles in two days
Cold ( teens) windy (35 mph) and at the start a sheet of ice ( our camp road)
Our little truck handles it well
No sway even wnen being passed by hundreds of trucks
We kept speed down
The downside to little truck is the bog box makes it very thirsty
Yet we have bo fondness forvthe crummy state of Interstates in Pennsylvania
May your trip be smoother.

We had that "thirsty" problem with the 220RD. The 212 looks to have a bit smaller frontal area. We'll get a little test tomorrow because we'll use the F-150 to drag the 220 off and the 212 back on just a hitch ball/receiver without the WD hitch. Just giving both the hairy eyeball SWAG, the 212 should cut the air better.
