New Jayfeather 28bhs

Hey everyone....been reading all your stories etc, and now finally have brought home our 28bhs. We had a Antigua 195CK before and started with a pop up. I've camped my whole life, but this was kinda new for the Mrs. We have 6 year old boy girl twins, who are nuts about this new camper and their bunk beds! I'm looking forward to a nites sleep without a hinge in my side!

I thought this rig would be too big to back into the the driveway, but turned out to be easy, easier than my hybrid!

We loved our antigua, but having been with that camper for 5 seasons now, I am VERY impressed by this Jayco. The extra wide entry door for one thing and how all the draws open all the way and dont fall out of the cabinet when you open them seem to be at the top of my list.

My wife wanted a slide out, and I thought it would be a waste as we spend most of our time, bad weather included, outside. I have to say this slide is the perfect size for us. makes the camper so much easier to move around with out adding too much weight or price to the unit.

I'll say it again, I'm very impressed with this unit, and I look forward to hearing about the mods you all have done and all the hints you pass along.

We have big surprise trip planned for the kids in August when we tow from NY to Disney, and this camper should really make this a GREAT trip!

Bring on Memorial Day!!!!!

all the best!
Andy

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Andy! Is the JayFeather 28bhs a new model for 2011/12? I tried to find at Jayco.com but couldn't find it. Sounds like you have so fun planned! Enjoy your new tt!

Welcome Andy. Is the 28 BHS a Jayflight or a Jayfeather 28R? Which is the same floor plan. Either way, welcome to JOF.

Welcome, we're relatively new here too and it's a great place to learn from others' experiences. Maybe we'll meet on the road sometime.

LOL - that's too funny! Sounds like some of the obvious things I miss from time to time. I just have to remind myself...."Self, OPEN YOUR FREAKIN' EYES!" I miss some blatantly obvious things sometimes.....

We frequent the Lazy River Yogi Bear park not too far from the KOA. There and Lake George RV Park.
