New Member 2010 17z owner

Thinking of upgrading to a 19h?? Bought our 2010 17z last year used, excellent condition. We really like it, just wish we had a little more room. Just saw new pics of 2013 models. Appears that the tubs in the new one's are not as deep. Disappointing because this helps with splash on the floor. Also with the 19h new model the left bed appears to be a full and not queen. I like our color scheme much better. If we do upgrade, I think we will be looking for another used one in 19h. We added 12 volt plugs to it for fan lights above beds (my husband did it, fairly easy and it had no front stabilizer jacks, so we bought small stand alone jacks to use when set up.) I also like the external look of the old ones better.

I sometimes wish I had a 19H. Usually when I am required to sleep on the sofa. The one in the 17Z is a little too short. If the 17Z was one foot longer, and the sofa was one foot longer I would be very happy. On the road side of the trailer 1 foot could be used as a small pantry or cupboard.

we really dig our 19H....

one of the reasons i bought the 19H was the ability to 'turtle camp' when it is just me... i wouldn't call the sofa 'comfy' but i can sleep just about anywhere, and i think it is just fine... with the 19H, so far, we have only opened the front bunk up, as it's just us and a 5yr old... but it's nice to be able to expand and contract the size to fit the need...


i was sold on the 19H over the 17H for several reasons... just a bit more room (that foot or two makes a big difference when you are 6'4"!!), tandem axles, great floorplan, and i had the vehicle to tow it easily...

it's all about compromise, and what best fits your use/budget/TV.... best of luck!
