New to Jayco specifically and to full fledged travel trailers in general. We have been in a popup for almost 25 years and just recently retired our old and weary Coleman which was pretty basic. Looking forward enjoying our new Jay Feather 23RBM with Murphy bed - we were so used to having a lot of activity to set up that we thought the Murphy bed might ease the transition!

Our favorite destination is Michigan's Keweenaw peninsula on the south shore of Lake Superior.

It was not readily apparent how to make a new post in the new member forum section so if I have posted in the wrong area please let me know.

Thanks

Welcome from another team whose Coleman is now 31 years young! We moved-up so we could truly enjoy RVing year-round in comfort (e.g., heat, air conditioning). In fact, we're off to the beach next weekend with another couple and their Artic Fox where we know it'll be cold and wet ... but beautiful (we're truly enjoying El Niño in California, no complaints here).

We picked up our new 23RBM two months ago. One issue I have noticed is that the Murphy Bed will not come all the way down when the slide out is in. It needs another 1/2 to 3/4 inch of clearance. Looking for the best way to get that added room. Probably the only time it would be used with the slide out in is while traveling and stopping over night at a rest area where the slide would have to stay in. Any suggestions out there?

Magellan48 - just wondering how you are liking your 23RBM. We recently purchased the same model and really like it. One thing that bothers me about the Murphy bed is that it won't come down when the slide is in - it is about one inch too long! I am hoping there is a way to change the mounting to gain that extra inch. Does your have the same issue?
