Hi all, my husband, Dan, and I are purchasing our first Jayco 5th wheel this spring. We currently have an Open Range TT and we have decided to move to a 5th wheel for better towing. We have a race car (Dirt Modified Sportsman) and we race every weekend at Brockville Speedway in Brockville, Ontario.
We camp at the track, no services, from Friday to Sunday. then do it all again next weekend.
We have narrowed our choice of Jayco down to 319MLOK or 321RSTS. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, please feel free to post.

Welcome aboard! I enjoy going to our local track, but have never camped their.
It is really hard to say, because a lot depends on how you really want to use it. The front 1/2 of both units are virtually identical. One thing many people complain about with any camper with a rear kitchen is how much they bounce in transit. When you get to your destination, you have to be careful opening your cabinets and frig as things can get really tossed. More than the items in the center of the rig.
One thing I tell people if possible, find a dealer that has the model(s) you want in stock, it might not have the colors or the options you want. Physically get in them, ditch the sales person, sit back relax in each unit, discuss how your are going to use it, where are you going to put your "stuff". Then start digging through every cabinet, nook and cranny. Can you get your stuff in there? Is there enough space? Do that with both units if possible. My experience, the sales people wont stop you from doing it, they seem to distract you from really looking over the guts of the camper, and all you really see the surfaces.
While at the dealer, go find a few other rigs on their lot, that might have the colors, or other options you might want. You might find these options on display in a TT, verses a 5ver. A good example is the free standing table verse the Dinette. The dinette, has storage under the benches, the table really does not. Many people do not like how small the dinette feels when sitting at them.
One thing I would strongly consider is your power source. Sounds like you will be off grid almost exclusively. If you want to run the AC(s), residential frig, and everything else, you will need a serious generator. You might need a battery bank upgrade as the he residential frig uses a inverter when not connected to shore power (120V). If I was in your position, I would strongly consider the smaller gas/electric RV frig option. It will sip a little propane when you do not have 120VAC power (generator). The frig can run for months on a single tank of propane (still requires 12Vdc power).

Hi, we are going with the non-residential fridge/freezer for sure. We have a SERIOUS generator - for the camper and the pit. I appreciate the advice!!

Welcome to JOF! Choose the floor plan that makes you happy. For me, I prefer all plumbing to be in one area like the RSTS. Not only is there less waterline to be concerned about, hot water will get to the kitchen sink sooner. Having access to the fridge without opening a slide adds convenience
