Hi! New owner of a Jayco Motorhome, glad to be here.
I could really use some help finding out which engine is in the 1978 Jayco Jaymini 2250 Van Dura GMC 35.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I sure would be appreciative .
Thanks again for the Welcome. Happy travels. Be safe, and stay warm.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!

A quick search states the 292 inline 6 cyl was standard on the 125" wheelbase cutaway van, and a 350 ci v8 on the 146" wheelbase vans. Here's a link to the 1978 Chevy van brochure.

Thank you very much!
Does that cover the Jayco Jaymini 2250?
It's almost as if it never existed. I can't seem to find any info on this motorhome.
As soon as it's feasible I'll post some pictures if you think that will help. Thanks again!

You're very welcome. Yes, the engines are standard to the GM cutaway van series, unless someone has changed it sometime in its life.

The original engine code will be the eighth digit from the left, in your VIN number. The 10th digit will be the model year of production. You can use this site to punch in your VIN, and get more info.
