New member from arizona

We are new members from Arizona and have ordered our 2014 Jay Feather Ultra Lite X19H to be pulled by a 2014 Buick Enclave (the wife couldn't see having a truck as we have only ONE vehicle between us!). We will be taking delivery of our new trailer in the middle of August and are itching to "get out on the road." This looks like a great blog for getting invaluable information about our Jayco trailer and its strengths and weaknesses. Looking forward to discussing with you all.
Don & Erica

Congratulations and welcome from a fellow Arizonian. How exciting for you both. You will love it. Did you purchase from Little Dealer? We had bought our last 2 units from them. We picked up our unit last year in July. They were great and very helpful. Where are you going for your maiden voyage? Lots of great places here in Arizona.

You have found a great site here. There is a lot of helpful advice.

We actually bought it in California at Richardson's. We were in San Diego on the birth of our daughter's first baby (terrific experience as we were in the delivery room!). We were on our way home, itching to get a trailer we could pull, saw the dealership (supposedly one of the top Jayco dealers in the U.S., and just couldn't pass us the deal. Does' Little Dealer have a good Service Department and Parts? We have reserved TWO months next summer at the Chula Vista RV Resort in San Diego right on the Bay. In the meantime, we will likely take the grand kids living in Arizona to some local places (maybe at Ft. McDowell). Any recommendations in the general area would be appreciated!

I would use Little a Dealer service. If you need service for warranty ask for Phill. I have used Camping World for most our camping supplies.

Ft. McDowell will be pretty toasty if you plan going in Aug. We do love our state parks. They are usually larger sites. Several of them have full hookups. They also have a Jr Ranger program for the grand kids. DD has done most of them. Fun for them. Fools Hollow Lake in Show Low is one of our favorites. The Mallard loop has full hookups. Other state parks have electric, water and a dump station on site.

Our maiden voyage was at Payson Campground and RV Park. It was a former KOA so sites were tight. Lots of seasonal residents also. Https://www.paysoncampground.com My friend really likes Point of Rocks in Prescott. http://www.pointofrockscampground.com hopefully this will give you some ideas.

Being you have a hybrid, I would suggest you cover the bunk ends to reduce condensation during colder temps. This also works when using your A/C. We used http://www.popupgizmos.com on our Pop up for 9 yrs. never had issues with condensation. We had the high wind version due to the winds up north.

Chula Vista Resort will be nice for you.

Please feel free to PM if you have any questions. Take care and enjoy.

Hello, feel free to ask about anything. Mostly friendly and well intentioned responses.

Enjoy camping with the Gkids.

Hi from the other side of town Headed to Chula Vista next week, can't wait!! Have a guided fishing trip setup so fresh fish for a dinner or two. What Maroemo said on Fools hollow, great place and lots to do in the area. Canyon point is another nice spot for kids on the rim. Dead horse state park is nice also in the fall and winter, not to high up and they stock a ton of trout in the ponds. Enjoy the new rig!!
