Exclamation New member from Marco Island, Florida

Hello everyone out there... our travel trailer is a Jayco Jayflight 23 MB that has been placed on a permanent lot 8 foot above the 100 year flood level. We recently had a direct hit from Hurricane Irma and are still repairing our trailer so our posts will cover repair and maintenance of most items encountered on/in trailers. All in all things are going well and we travel back and forth from our home in Fort Lauderdale.

I so miss Marco island! By far our favorite vacation spot! But then again I’m from Cooper City, FL, so that areas home to me. Welcome and congrats on the new RV!

We love Marco and go there every February (rental, not camping). I didn't know you could camp there.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your trailer. I guess the authorities will have to revise their 100 year flood level.

I have friends that are retired and spend their winters on Marco Island. They love it. My wife and I are retiring next year and will be looking for a place to winter out of the cold here in NY. I'm hearing it's getting increasingly more difficult to find a good place to winter in FL so we may have to opt for Tennessee, Georgia, etc.
