New Member from Ohio

Hello,
After visiting the forum several times I decided to join. I have really enjoyed reading all over the forum. We are retired and just purchased a Jayco Pinnacle 36 FBST. Our last RV was 30 years ago. Our plan is a little different than most on the forum. We don't have a Tow Vehicle since we aren't planning on traveling extensively. We live in Ohio and are keeping the RV in Florida for winter use. Our ultimate plan is to spend 4 months in Florida, 4 months in North Carolina, and 4 months in Ohio. We are keeping our options open, and will make a final decision on a truck next year. Anyway, I look forward to continuing to enjoy the forum. Thanks for being here! CJ

Welcome to the forum.

I like your plan! We're kicking around something similar, but, we too are keeping our options open. For the near future, we still like traveling and camping with our TT.

It was kinda funny how we ended up with Jayco. We were actually looking at the Durango Gold by KZ. We visited several dealers while in Florida this past month and we found a dealership in St Augustine we really liked. They sold Durango and Jayco. We went back on final decision day to take one last look at the Durango Gold and they had a North Pointe sitting next to it. My wife who usually doesn't change direction easily went into the North Point while I was talking to the Sales guy. She came and interrupted our conversation to say she liked the North Pointe much better. I went and looked at it and agreed except it was a little more than the Durango Gold which was already stretching what I budgeted. While I was trying to compare and digest the two RV's my wife slipped into the Pinnacle which was parked next to the North Pointe. The salesman and I went looking for her and she was coming out of the Pinnacle. In front of the salesman she said forget the other two, this is the one I want. I almost had a heart attack. I took her aside and tried to talk some sense into her. We have been married for 50 years and I have never seen her run with anything like this. It took her less than 5 minutes to convince me this was the right choice. Fortunately for me they had the Pinnacle priced real good, and there wasn't any expensive motor homes parked nearby.I called the following morning and they agreed to a few additional details so we closed the deal. And if it don't work out I can blame my wife.

A buckeye! Welcome and enjoy. I want your DW to share a little of that enthusiasm of not caring about the bottom line with my DW. Congratulations in getting the rig that fits your desirers the best.

Welcome from that state "Up North". I think you'll know what I mean. And no, I don't hold being a Buckeye against anyone.
