New to forum, but definitely not new to RVing. Here's a bit of info on us. We just purchased a 2015 Jay Flight 28BHBE. Haven't took possession of it yet, but hopefully will tow it home in the next week or so. This will be our 8th RV. Our previous 7 were 2 travel trailers, 2 fifth wheels, 1 class A motorhome, 1 class C motorhome and a popup, not in that order. We recently got out of full timing, and wanted to simplify things, and get back to the basics of RVing / camping. The Jay Flight fit the bill. I've always liked Jayco as a company, but this is the first Jayco product we've owned.

As with all brand specific forums, there is a wealth of information on each product, along with the good bad and ugly. I'm hoping this forum is similar to the others I've been on. A great bunch of people who would go to great lengths to help a fellow RVer out.

Looking forward to getting to know everybody here, and hoping to run across somebody in the general area we're in (Florien, LA).

Welcome, look forward to hearing of your experiences with the new brand. Sounds like you have a load of experience that we can tap into also.

BTW, say hello to the Robertsons for us. LOL

Many thanks to all the welcomes. norty1, we're a bit southwest of them, but definitely in the same territory. I'm loving this forum. Same format as the FR one, and it's all Jayco.

Is this forum by chance blessed with any factory reps?

Welcome... in the mid 80s I was stationed at Ft. Polk for 3 yrs, 25+ miles south of Florien.
one of the best duty stations ever had. Loved the Toledo Bend area. you definitely are in
a great area for the outdoors, having not far to go to the piney woods of east Tx as well.

LBL 1206, yep you were just down the road from me. We're 7 miles off of Hwy 171. Toledo is about 10 minutes from our place.

My father was stationed at Fort Polk during WWII. His remaining group took a tour of Fort Polk several years back. They hardly recognized it with all the changes.

not to hijack thread..but...hi Mary Anne...Polk has gone through many upgrades.
I was not looking forward to it because of the reputation it had from the Viet Nam era when they were training troops. when I got there to be assigned to the brand new hospital, my concerns were over. the whole post was really modernized.

Yes it is the same format as the FR forum, in fact, Janet H is the primary administrator of both the forums, they own/manage them,

welcome to this forum from San Antonio

Very possible. We mostly stay in west LA, or all over the country on other trips, but Bruin and Poverty Point have been on the list for a while for the local trips. I really hope to run into some of the forum members in the future.
