New member - Greyhawk 31FK

We purchased a 2010 Greyhawk 31FK last September at the Dallas RV show. Our previous RV experience involved renting a Cruise America 25' Class C motorhome in 2007, loading up our Greyhounds, and driving Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. This great experience finally pushed us to visit the Dallas RV show "just to see what was available" (yeah, right). We were so impressed with the huge storage bay (primarily because of our need to carry large Ex-pens for the hounds) in this model Greyhawk , that we bought the show floor model.

We have been on several trips since then; however, driving this "Beast" was not enjoyable until I added a Roadmaster anti-sway bar and Steer Safe steering stabilizer (Roadmaster does not yet make their steering stabilizer for the 2010 model). I have also added an HWH leveling system (joy stick model) and am shopping for the right kit to convert the hardwired shore line cable to a detachable hook-up. I also added a slide-out awning (same mgf as main awning).

Hiya JimmyMac66 and welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum! Nice MH! Glad you are able to add little things here and there to make it comfortable. Looks like you had the MH for a while, glad you were able to find this forum. Do you take your greyhounds to shows; are they show dogs?

Thanks for the welcome. Our Greyhounds are not show dogs; not many Greyhounds are. These are rescued, retired racing dogs, affectionately known as 45 mph couch potatoes! :-) We decided to try the RV lifestyle for our Route 66 trip so we could take our hounds with us rather than board them. We (and the hounds) enjoyed it so much we bought our own MH.

I was going to post some pics, but the forum asked for the URL of my images. They are stored on my PC; don't see how I can add a URL. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Soooo Jimmymac on route 66 Love the name...

When you click reply or "quote" you will see where you type and then.... scroll down and you will see "manage attachments" and click on that. It will talk you through the process to post from your pc. (Some here will post to a site such as Photobucket and you can use a URL where you don't use the pc).

Go to the PICS forum and post the pics... if ya want, practice once here
