New member - Hi to everyone

Hi all,

Well about 2 months ago the wife and I decided it was time to move on from the 1997 Coachman we had purchased and used for about 3 years to see if we liked TT camping and wanted to do it. We found a good deal on a Jayco Jay Flight Swift 264BH and purchased it. As it is only the wife and I we really did not need the BH but liked the layout and use the top bunk as a pantry with plastic storage boxes and have the large bottom bed for a friend if we have someone come along. The wife did not get all she wanted (do you ever find one that has all the wife's wants??) but really is happy with this unit and I got a good price so we are all happy!

We have 2 TV - main one is a 2009 F150 STX 4WD rated at 10,500 towing pounds. The other TV is the 1998 F150 4WD that has 7700 tow pound rating and has proven it can do it on fully loaded stock trailer. We have a small registered Charolais Cattle Farm in central Alabama.

I'll try to keep a check in here but spend most of my forum time with the Good Sam's forum on RV net. The wife and I are listed with Standby Sams so if you are coming to or through central Alabama and need help or info, give us a shout and we'll do all we can for you!

Look forward to making new friends that also own Jayco TT's!

Wilford and Joanie

Welcome Wilford and Joanie. Congrats on the TT. Hope you get to spend a little more time with us at the JOF. Great news on the Alabama connection. My family plans to get out and make the most of our TT so I hope we can take you up on any local camping you would suggest.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I'll try to spend time here and on the GS forum. Arthritis limits my typing but if I ever get my Dragon software understanding what I say it should make computer typing a thing of the past. Just has a long learning curve, especially on technical terms such as I use in my woodturning and we use about campers and tow vehicles!!!

Campingmuds - just holler when you start planning a trip this way. I'll have to admit to hitting my 58th year two days ago and have lived in this wonderful state all but 4 of those years. Between the wife and myself I believe we can route you to some off the beaten path gems!
