New member/jayco owner

We picked up our first Jayco last night, Octane super lite 272. Joined the forum for mod/upgrade ideas. We are coming out of a 35’ forest river bunk house. Looking forward to setting it up for dry camping.

Welcome aboard from Northern Neck Virginia... I sort of married into North Texas and spent several years in Little Rock AFB area as well as Lewisville Ark which is situated along the Red River...

Wife's family is from North Texas and they lived in Denison TX and Lake Texoma for many years. Got to visit their Lake House on the OKLA side many times back then...

My question now is where does Lake Texoma , Arkansas come from haha... The Lake only borders North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The Red River however which is the border river between Texas and Oklahoma also heads for Arkansas but is not a border River in that area as I recall...///

Just wondering what I missed hehe...

Did alot of Tent camping around the Lakes in North Texas and one of my favorite places when we lived in the Wichita Falls TX area was the Wichita Mtn WIldlife Refuge at Medicine Park OKLA just north of Lawton. Camped there as well as in my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer numerous times. Love that area...

We found this place back in the 60s and early 70s tent camping and really fell in love with.

This is us setup at Doris Camp inside the Wichita Mtns Wildlife Refuge alter on visiting the the area back in my work years with the Naval Space Surveillance System tracking stations...
