New member saying hello, picking up a 30DSRE this month.

Excited about the new trailer. Last unit was a pop up. This is quite a step up from the pop up.
Does anyone have any advice or tips regarding the 30DSRE?
If so we'd like to hear from you.

Thanks,
RJ

Hey RJ1962. We just ordered our 30DSRE. This will be our 5th camper & 2nd Jayco. Also had 2 pop ups and currently have toy hauler for sale. We did tons of research and originally passed on the White Hawks but after getting our wants down to a final list it was this model we wanted. Only other floor plan we like was by Coleman but was too heavy for our half ton when loaded with our quad. Only things I wish were different was crank out window since we get lots of rain here and we ordered with brick interior but just found out the couch and rockers will now be in chocolate brown leatherette surfacing. Will be better for wear and tear but Im hoping they are supple and not stick to our skin....we'll see.

This is going to be a real adventure withe the trailer being 33'11" total and my truck is an extended cab with 8'foot bed.

I have this trailer and an F350 extended cab with 8 foot bed. It is LONG but I got used to it fairly quickly. As long as I have enough space the maneuverability has actually been pretty easy. The only problem is when the access road for the site spots is narrow and has things like signs, trees, or bushes in the way and my front end needs that extra space to swing around as I back in. In those situations it can be tricky. Otherwise, I have a lot less trouble with it than I had expected.
