Smile New North Point 377 Owner

Hi All:

Wife and I will be going to the dealer in South Dakota on May 20th to seal the deal on our new 5th wheel. First time owning a 5th wheel. We have a RV located elsewhere so have experience in them. Our situation is unique - we won't be towing the unit as I don't have a truck to tow it with. We belong to a RV resort and they will store it there for us and bring it out to the campsite when we come out and put it back in storage when we leave. So, I'm thinking I'm not going to be to worried about the correct set up of the hitch mechanism or should I be????

I've been reading all about the PDI and have the list of inspection items printed and ready to go. Were going to be able to spend 2 nights at the dealers camp ground to make sure all is in order. They will then deliver it to the resort. Hope there will be no surprises.

I have a general question on Insurance - Can anybody recommend a solid insurance company to go to for 5th wheel coverage only and is Comp and Collision, personal property, emergency expense and Vacation Liability coverage all that is needed. I believe true Auto Liability coverage is covered by the towing vehicle and since I won't be towing, not a coverage I need.

Also, what types of basic tools, accessories, testers etc should I be thinking of buying and having with this 5th wheel. Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Congratulations on the soon to be yours 5th wheel and welcome to the JOF.

You are not towing it, so no reason for you to worry about a hitch!

Welcome from another 377 owner. The other NP owners on here are VERY helpful, not to mention everyone else with more general questions! Welcome from North TX.
