New owner

Hello.
We just purchased a 2010 Jayco Jayflight 22fb. We're new to campers and are going on our first short trip close to home this weekend. Any words of advice on maintaining our trailer or avoiding any known issues with it would be appreciated!

Welcome to the JOF lamiam! Good idea as a newbie rv'er to take a short trip for your tt's 'maiden voyage'. As you come up with thoughts or questions, jot them down and post them here. Lots of friendly members here who can help ya out. Congrats on the 'new' tt

Hi Iamiam and welcome to JOF! Good call for a close by trip, some recommend (me included) to do a camp driveway first if you can. That way you can quickly run into the house if you forgot something. A notebook is a great first step so that you can jot down things that you forgot, things to remember and maybe even items that you took that you didn't need. No matter what, have fun. Making do with what you have is one of the joys of camping (at least in my book). Everyone is very helpful on the forum, so if you run into problems or have questions, feel free to post and ask. Remember we were all new once.

One thing that is helpful is to add your TT/TV info to your signature, so when asking questions we know what model TT you have.
