New RV'er, New Member

Hello to all; I just joined the Jayco Owners forum today. I'm also new to RV'ing and my wife and I are anxiously awaiting spring of 2018 when we expect to take delivery of a custom ordered 2018 Eagle HT 24.5CKTS ordered thru Indiana RV Connection. We plan to tow with a new 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty Super Cab equipped with 6.7L diesel, 4x4 Off Road, 11,500 GVWR, Tow Technology and Gooseneck/Fifth Wheel pkgs. It is a short box single rear wheel truck. I've had several Ford vans, this is my first pickup. I went with the heaviest duty truck that would fit in my garage because in the past I have had to pass on boats and other towables because I just didn't have enough truck to pull the loads. I'm a Ford Research and Engineering retiree, having worked for Climate Control Division for 27+ years, then with Visteon Climate Control for another 8 years. I started at Ford in 1972 and finally retired in 2008, so I guess I'm old too! I've had some 60's muscle cars, various sailboats and power boats and was a regular contributor on the Chris Craft Commanders website. While on that site I totally restore a 1965 Chris Craft 20' Sea Skiff, 1 of 80 fiberglass Sea Skiffs out of some 13,000 Sea Skiffs Chris Craft made, the rest were wood. Besides boating and camping I enjoy film photography and classic hi fi stuff. So that's a thumb-nail sketch of who I am, I look forward to meeting and talking to other more experienced RV'ers and Jayco owners.

Congratulations on the retirement, and the trailer, and the truck, and welcome to the forum (from a former resident of MI).

Congratulations on the new rig as well as retirement! I'm a die hard Ford guy. Been driving nothing but them for nearly 40 years now...
