Thumbs up New Seneca Owners

My wife and I recently purchased a 2015 Seneca 37TS with @ 22K miles on it. After owning almost every other kind of RV over the years...WOW...what a pleasure to drive. We really like the comfort, the stableness, and the POWER !
We have found a few small things that we had to fix. I still need to tackle the "wind noise" issue, but we are still very happy and proud owners ! I have found some very helpful info on this forum, and I thank each and every contributor !
First long trip was to Pocatello ID. to see family from central Commiefornia where we live. Coach did very well, except for a rear pinion leak that developed. We will be making an appointment at our local Freightliner dealer for a service and reseal. I hope to retire in about 1 year...looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful country of ours !
That's all for now, Thanks..."Uncle Bill"

Thanks Robbbyr. I have read a lot of your input and value it very much. I come from an automotive background and I now work as an electrical foreman for a local power company. I have always found your feedback and advice to be spot on and accurate. WELL DONE and thanks again !

Welcome UncleBill! This is a great site and has been very informative/helpful to me. Pinion leak? If you can, please post a picture so the rest of us know what to look for and put this on our checklist. Thanks!

My Seneca also had a rear end leak, but it was actually where the differential housing bolted into the axle housing. It left a spot on my concrete where it gets parked and the lower part of housing was always "wet" with oil.

Took it to Freightliner dealer, I was outside of the warranty but they called corporate trying to get a warranty repair authorized. Alas no, but the dealer's Service Manager was sympathetic and repaired it for around $500. I was expecting far worse since they had to pull the axles to remove the carrier so they could clean it up and reseal the housing. Absolutely fixed the issue.

And I recall another Seneca owner had the same issue, so maybe there was a manufacturing issue with our early units.

Congrats on the new unit , We have 2015 37 RB and love it. This is the best place for any questions you may have, as a matter of fact I am doing an upgrade that Rob has done. I removed my step's and and are having them sprayed with Line-X.

Welcome from another Happy Driver of a 2015 37TS!

We bought ours with 30K miles on it two years ago, and have put another 6k or so miles on it so far... even once venturing from Seattle down into "commiefornia" as you put it... to go to the UW-UCLA game (we're BIG Huskies fans). Parked our Seneca at the Rose Bowl and had a GREAT tailgate!

Those LA roads are TERRIBLE, though... Somehow the road cracks were designed to the resonant frequency of our wheel base... We rattled our sewer hose cap off on the drive in... luckily we put in a safety valve, so we didn't lose any "dark matter" on the roadway. LOL.
