New to Alberta
Good afternoon every one. i've just recently became a owner of a Jayco White hawk 28dsbh, and i am looking forward to using it in the spring, i hope to absorb all sortd of info prior to using the trailer. Since i am new to alberta, i would be great to talk to any local edmontonians on this site, i am curious to find out some good camping site

Welcome fellow Edmontonian/Albertian. Lots of great camping spots around us and into Saskatchewan. There is a couple more of us Alberta guys on here, even another Morinville member. Lots of great advise on here.

Eduvall I can certainly suggest some campgrounds that we enjoy, however it would be coming from a family camping with 2 smaller children (3&7) who enjoy the park and the beach. That being said our camping choices tend to be tailored around that. What would you be looking for in a campground?

Welcome to JOF, Alberta and Morinville from another Morinviller Eli! A couple of good campgrounds that we have found are Long Island Lake, 20 minutes north of Westlock. If you want to camp beside the mountains without going into a national park, Cadomin (30 minutes south of Hinton) is a great place. And for provincial campgrounds Pembina river is nice as well as Gull lake and Pine lake (for the last two you have to book your campsite online at the beginning of the season otherwise they are filled up for the summer). And of course both Jasper and Banf national campgrounds are great places to get out to the mountains and into the wild (again you typically need to book these at the beginning of the season before they book up). All good suggestions Ryan. Another one to add is Cross Lake it is also north of Westlock pavement all the way except the last few km. Power sites available, nice parks for the kids.
