New to forum

Hello all. I am new to the jayco forum. We just purchased a 2015 264BHW travel trailer. I still have a ton to learn and am looking forward to gleaning as much as I can from this forum and its members. So thank you ahead of time, because I know I'll learn a lot from you.

JB

Welcome to the forum. We bought the same trailer last year. It has been good to us.

Thanks, all! Can't wait to pick your brains. I'll be attempting to install a hybrid water heater kit next weekend, so look for a tech thread then.

Curiosity... by "hybrid', what two things are being combined?

Hybrid is actually what the kit is called. It's supposed to be a kit whereby I can install an electrical element into a propane only water heater and still utilize both sources. Depending on the circumstances.

Sounds like fun! I think I remember seeing such an item at the local RV parts place.

Can the propane still be used after installing the 120VAC heater?

Get plenty of electrical help when adding a circuit to the breaker panel and running the romex inside the trailer.

According to the kit advertisement you will be able utilize both sources independently or together. It hasn't arrived as of yet. It should be here by this weekend, and then I'll know more.
