New to Jayco
Just put a deposit down on a new Seismic. Very anxious to get more info about this unit and found this forum Saturday night after we got home from the RV show. We currently have a 2002 Keystone Tailgator, 35' fifth-wheel with no slides. It has been great over the years, but we really wanted some more room. Looking forward to all the info and help that is available on this forum!

Looking forward to a full report and pictures on that Seismic! Can you share what you liked about it and what made you go with that model?

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum GaryBro! Although we have a few members who own toy haulers, I don't know that we have many/any Seismic owners at JOF; you may be the first for that model toy hauler. They look like pretty nice little toy haulers though! Congrats!

Why we picked the Seismic
Haven't been on this forum in a while and just saw the request to give some thoughts on why we bought the Seismic.
We really liked the Keystone Raptor and were almost ready to get that. Then we went to an RV show and talked to a very informed sales girl. I must say that she was good in sales! She told us all about Jayco campers and how they were manufactured better than other brands, giving us very specific facts about the construction. I felt that she really knew the product. We looked at a model with similar interior to the Seismic and were impressed with it.
I think that the quality of the interior was similar to the Raptor and both had similar features. A main thing about both the Raptor and the Seismic is that I can walk around the bed without bending over. In our current Tailgator, I can't stand upright next to the bed. I guess most newer campers are like this. The Seismic is so much more than our Tailgator in lots of areas!
After a great deal of talking about price, we got to a point that I thought was good. The sales girl stated that since we couldn't see the unit now, we would not be obligated to take it if we didn't like what we see on it's arrival in April. I felt that this was a good enough deal to take. I seriously doubt that we will pass this up as everything we have seen at the show and online seems great. I will post some pics when the unit comes in.
