New to Land Yachts

We are brand new to RVing. Owned boats and lived on them for days at a time.
Hope RV life is as much fun was we had boating. I hope others that have made the transition from boats to Rvs will share their knowledge. We have purchased a 36FBTS mainly to be able to go to the lake with the grandchildren but also look forward to spending time on the road seeing the country from ground level.

looking forward to meeting folks on the road.

Congrats and Welcome to the group,

Our last boat was a 1994 Regal 30 foot - We spent many days / nights on her. We had both a camper and a boat at one point but simply couldn't keep both and we chose camping. That was nearly 20 years ago now and we haven't looked back! On occasion, I do miss the water but the family memories we made and continue to make camping take those feelings away pretty quickly,

Congratulations and welcome!

We used to sail with my in-laws (Cape Dory 36) and would spend a couple of weeks at a time on the boat, primarily on the Maine coast. It's been about 15 years since we last sailed, and while we love now seeing the country from land, we miss being on the water. Down East Maine is still our favorite place to camp and we still get to visit many of the same spots we used to visit by boat though.

As Marcm157 said, we're making new memories.

Thanks for the welcome. New Mexico doesn't have a lot of boating opportunities but the lake is nice. Lots of campers of all sizes. Ill be interested to how my wife adapts to living on land. The boat was a lot like what I expect this will be but we ran the generator most of the day and always at night. Looks like lots of camp grounds don't allow generators at night but we will have shore power most of the time.
