New to Motor Home Travel (Greyhawk 31DS)

My husband and I were long time campers; first with truck campers, then with fifth wheels. When he passed away last year I decided that I wanted to be able to travel with my son and his family, but not as his passenger. I sold the truck and trailer and purchased a 2011 Greyhawk 31DS.

I have 2 problems that seem to be "normal" according to the Jayco dealer that I took it to: the left side has most of the weight (the slides, the generator, the refrigerator), but the right side is about 2 inches lower in the rear. According to the dealer, the factory says this is a normal occurrence with this model - they put a block between the springs on the left side to compensate for the extra weight. I have to admit that I am not very mechanical, but wouldn't this cause abnormal tire wear and possible tweaking of the frame?

The second problem is the Clarion stereo/DVD player/back-up camera/navigation system. I've only had the motor home since June, but upon start-up I get a message that the software is out of date. I researched as to how to update the system (the manual was not very helpful) and found that the update is done on a micro SD card, and can be done via a web-site. I followed the directions and although my computer can read the card, the web site doesn't see it. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Although I cannot answer your MH questions, I can welcome you to the forum! This is the correct place for an introduction, but you may get a better response to your technical questions in the Class C Motorhome forum. Enjoy your new Greyhawk!

Does the web site expect to write directly to the SD card or can you download the file and copy it to the SD with Windows Explorer or something similar?

Clarion Navi System

The software is downloaded to my computer, then it reads (or should read) the SD card.

If you want to post the update link, I can look to see if anything jumps out at me. Just realize, I do not have this nav system or trailer (class C?).
