New to RVing & taking the full-time plunge

Hello forum.

My name is Todd. I'm a single, 37 year old male, and have decided to retire before age 40.

I have had a plethora of jobs since I was 16 years old. Started as a bag-boy at a local grocery store, worked retail for WalMart, Law Enforcement, FireFighter, Factory, Guitar Shop Manager, and my last was owner of a small engine repair shop.

I lost my father to Leukemia the first of last year and with his gift of inheritance, I have decided to travel North America while I have my youth.

I am in the first steps of ordering a 2013 Jayco Greyhawk 31DS. There was a local Lot Show here last week and I got to meet a Jayco Rep that was very informative. He said that it would be May before the Greyhawk line was restarted.

I have lurked on this forum for about 3 months, gathering loads of info about this company and its followers. Very excited to hear from all of you and hope to add to this forum the best I can.

Thanks for reading my post and hope to see some of you around the campfire one day.

Todd

Welcome Todd! I too am brand new to RVing...and look forward to hearing about your exploits. We went with a Greyhawk (2010 31FK) too, picked it up 2 weeks ago. This forum has been priceless for a newbie like myself...I hope you find the same.

Lost my mom 3.5 years ago, enjoy your travels met a couple that spent a year travelling with there very young children and they loved it. travelled along both coasts and southern states and back thru Canada. Great experience for them. They would drive about 6-8 hours and find a place to stop and would spend 3-4 days there.
