New to the fifth wheel chucking thing

Recently traded our Class A gas motor home in on a 2019 Pinnacle 36SSWS. Our truck is a 2018 Silverado 3500 diesel dually. Love both of them. But when coupled together, getting lots of chucking. Mostly just when going over the bumps and shifting. Not too bad when braking. Since we are new to this type of rig, not sure if what we are feeling is the norm. Truck drives just fine when towing but just not happy with the chucking! Any suggestions on things to check or look for or maybe I am expecting too much of a smooth ride. From what I have been reading, this is a typical thing for towing something of this size and weight. The Pinnacle has a MORryde pin box rated for 18K. The receiver is a Curt 20K. Both are brand new. Minimal weight has been added to fifth wheel and truck when towing. Tanks in fifth wheel are empty.

Start with shifting the load in your trailer before doing anything else. You may not have enough weight on the pin. My previous 5th wheel was prone to chucking if we loaded too much aft of the trailer axles.

If we are on a smooth road we get a smooth ride. Concrete roads with their expansion joints or uneven patching will give us a rough ride. I95 is one of the worst. We don't get much when starting or stopping.

Shocks on my trailer did a huge part in reducing that chucking problem. Instead of the 3-4 cycles after a bump it's down to 1-2 at most.

I went with the LCI System.
