New to the Forum

Registered a bit ago after prowling around. Started out in an old 1991 Jayco PUP and moved up to a 5'er 2 years ago.

howdy Dale,

I'm probably newer to the forum than you are, but "Welcome" none the less. I'm on my first fiver as well. I purchased a 1995 Designer 3430RK SS. I am looking forward for some warm weather so I can start doing some upgrades on it. High up on my wants list is to replace all the flooring (carpet is just nasty for a camping situation, I think). What model and year do you have? Got any pics?

Okay, I see your model now. If I had to do it all over again, I think I might like the Rear Living because of the big windows

Rear living has it's pluses and minuses. The plus is when the kids go they get to stay in a tent, the minuses are storage, never have enough room and the DW takes more than she needs for the trip. I am working on that.

Hello RVREV2,
Before our Jayco we had a Cardinal. Last spring we noticed a large crack in the sheet goods on the lower floor. I tore the old cheep junk out and replaced with Allure plank flooring. I put prefinished base down for trim the whole job was pretty easy. Then I traded the Cardinal in, O'ya I also put new tires all the way around too. I guess that's why the dealer sold it in two weeks.
Well we sure love our Designer now.

Howdy yogi,

I have a big tear in the vinyl floor in the kitchen right now. We are planning this spring to pull it out and install the Allure flooring as well.
