New to the Jayco forum

Hi! I'm Nan from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I decided last year to buy a travel trailer when I retire, after a road trip with a friend. My retirement won't be for another 9 to 12 years.

So, in the mean time, I've been doing my research/homework for the towing vehicle and the trailer. I was looking at a Ford f150... but now I'm considering a f250 because of a bigger payload. I've been sold on a Jayco... and have my eye on Jay Feather 25RB.

When the time comes, I'll sell my house and use my cottage as my new main address. In the summer, travel in the northern parts of the U.S.... and come back "home" every now and then.... and shut the cottage down in the winter months and travel south. Now is the time to declutter my house, and work on the home improvements at the cottage, which is on an acre and a half of land. It has electricity but no running water. so I've go some work to do up there.

Last summer, every time I drive to and from the cottage, I count RVs on the road (whether it's a travel trailer, a 5th wheeler, a pop up.... count them all...) I'm just green with envy....

Welcome! For a Jayco Jay Feather 25RB you don't need a 3/4 ton. First of all consider daily driver versus amount of RV trips. 25RB is a nice RV to haul into any place with easy setup. Camping is about outdoors, not being continuous indoors.

Welcome from another Wisconsinite. Love visiting the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc whenever we're camping at Point Beach SP.
