New to this forum

I joined a few weeks ago but haven't introduced myself until now. I don't own a Jayco product and wasn't sure I would be allowed to join until I contacted the Admin who said it was ok. My wife & I are retired and I usually spend a couple of hours each morning and night checking on the several forums I am interested in. I have added this one to my regiment and have posted a few times already

We have been camping for many years and have been in everything from tents to 5/W. We now have a 2008 Cedar Creek 5/W and was looking seriously at the new Eagles until my wife's mother had a stroke a month ago and that put the Eagle on hold for now. We have been back and forth to Jacksonville Fl where she is in therapy.

We live in SW Ga in Bainbridge which is on the banks of the Flint river and the northern limit of Lake Seminole. We are members of several forums and our local Camping Club website is http://mudflaps.freeforums.org/portal.php.

I enjoy Camping, 4/W, Woodworking, Computers to name a few things.

Hi Dewayne and welcome to you and Judy to the Jayco Owners Forum! Sorry you have had to put off plans for your Eagle. I hope your MIL regains her strength. Let us know when you actually pick up your new Eagle. How kewl to be shopping for a new rv! You mentioned the camping club. I noticed that "One Country Boy" is active there. He was active here in the early months of this forum. Let Jim know we said hi!

Will tell Jim I talked to you. He mentioned you when I told him I was thinking about joining here.

Jim & Priscilla have become very good friends of ours since we started the club. We actually got to be friends on the MyRVTalks forum as we are only about 80 miles from each other. We have camped several times together and enjoy their company. We talk by phone and skype often as well as on the Club forum. Actually Jim started the forum and I kinda got snuckered into being a co-site founder cause I was retired and available.

I visit several sites every day and I like this site and being interested in the Jayco Eagle I figured where to learn more about a brand than a brand site. We may have to postpone the Eagle for a while now as Judy's Mom will come live with us after she gets out of rehab and we are having to remodel a room and bathroom to accommodate her. She isn't doing as well as we had hoped so don't know what our future has in store for us. We were hoping she could at least walk with a walker but it isn't looking good right now. Judy's Mom is 86.

My Mom lives with us now already and she is 86 also. She gets around with a walker and does pretty good.

Welcome to the forum Dewayne and Judy. Hope things go well with your MIL. It will be nice for your mom and MIL to be together. My mom is 89 and still lives in her house. She is busier than I am what with senior citizen centers, trips, card clubs, etc. Whenever she and my MIL get together they talk constantly about the good 'ol days. Hopefully your mom and MIL will be able to 'lean' on each other and support each other. That's wonderful that you have opened your hearts and home to them.

First off my prayers and thoughts are there for your family. Welcome to the forum. The folks here are such a great resource. Last time I checked Cedar Creek 5ers are nothing to cough at. Very beautiful rigs.

Welcome.
