New to trailers, new to Jayco, new here = NewbieCubed

Hi,

Displaced Texan living North of Atlanta and getting ready to purchase my first camper. We've been looking for about a year now, and I think we are finally almost ready to make a purchase.

We started out tent camping, but thanks to 10 years in the Army I'm too old and decrepit for tent camping. So we started researching TT, looking specifically for a bunkhouse model so my boys (10 and 7) would have their own space. After realizing all the bunkhouse rooms were nicer than the master bedroom, we ruled them out. About this time every friend, relative, coworker, etc. that had a camper all told us to skip the TT and look at 5th Wheels. So while sitting in a TT at a show, waiting on a sales guy that was helping another customer, we decided to browse a 5er. Thank God he was tied up! I was finally able to convince SWMBO that a 5er made much more sense.

A few months into researching a 5er we just couldn't seem to find a BH model that had good reviews, a floor plan we liked, and the options we thought we would want. Happened to stumble into a 5er TOy Hauler, and that was all we needed to see. So 6 months later we've finally narrowed it down to a couple of manufacturers and models, with one clearly head and shoulders ahead of the rest.
#1 - Seismic 4212 (love the side patio)
#2 - Grand Design Momentum
#3 - Anything not Heartland (Heartless)

So now we're on the hunt for a reliable dealer with a Seismic in the color and with the options we want, for the right price.

Thanks!

Mike

Welcome and all the best with your purchase. The Seismic is certainly a beautiful unit.
